I’m Ginny of Dawn to Dusk Celebrations, an independent celebrant based in Worthing, creating bespoke ceremonies across Sussex and beyond.

After a successful career spanning more than twenty years in business, coaching and recruitment, life took me on an unexpected and unwanted journey following a life-changing brain injury. During my recovery, I discovered a new purpose: I began to write. And I quickly realised that I loved it. It made me happy, brought me joy and saw me through some dark days.

I wrote and wrote and wrote. At first, it was deep and serious, all about the injustice and unfairness of being disabled. Then one day I started to have fun with it, stopping at times to wipe away tears, sometimes of pain but more often at the sheer hilarity of life. It pulled me through.

Then, upon sharing this writing, I was extremely surprised to find it had the same effect on others, raising all sorts of emotions. That’s when it hit me: I could do this all day! I just needed a reason, and it hit me! To write other people’s stories! That’s what I wanted and needed to do. From there, the rest, as they say, is history!

I am now entering the world of celebrations, using my life experiences and abilities to craft beautiful words and write people’s stories: happy, sad, funny, poignant. All sorts of stories to help you create lasting memories that will always be there to call on and share with your loved ones. A permanent reminder of how those times felt!

How I work

Every ceremony I create is written from scratch. I take time to understand your story, your beliefs and the people who matter most, ensuring your ceremony reflects your values rather than following a standard script.

I am Masters-qualified in Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (EDIB), and this underpins my commitment to creating ceremonies where everyone feels welcomed, respected and celebrated. Families, relationships and identities are wonderfully diverse, and I believe every story deserves to be told with dignity, sensitivity and care.

Alongside weddings, funerals, memorials, naming ceremonies and vow renewals, I also create bespoke ceremonies for life’s changing moments, including blended families, gender affirmation and renaming ceremonies, interfaith and multicultural celebrations, retirements, milestone birthdays, recovery celebrations and other significant life transitions. No matter the occasion, we’ll create something as unique as you are.

At Dawn to Dusk Celebrations, there are no templates, no clichés and no one-size-fits-all ceremonies, just meaningful celebrations created with compassion, creativity, authenticity and professionalism.
